For a gluten-free keto pizza recipe, be sure to follow this dairy-free keto pizza dough recipe so you don't go over the carb count and consume dairy.
What is keto pizza made of?
The main ingredients in my keto pizza dough are almond flour, coconut flour, psyllium husk powder, and eggs. Which ingredients you use is entirely up to you!
I love using psyllium husk in low carb recipes as it holds everything together. You can see my recipes forAlmond flour tortillas,Coconut flour tortillasÖketo breadto see more recipes using psyllium as a binder.
How does this Keto Pizza Dough taste?
My keto pizza dough recipe tastes like whole grain bread. Not that! The texture of the outer crust is crunchy thanks to the coconut flour and the inside of the crust is chewy thanks to the powdered psyllium husk.
It can be crunchy or chewy and it's extremely filling! You can make two small personal pizzas or one big keto pizza.
Is thin crust pizza lower in carbs?
No, it's not. It is made with the same ingredients and ends up being the same size as the deep dough.
How many carbs in this Keto Pizza Dough?
This pizza recipe has 35g of net carbs for two whole 25cm pizzas, which means that each slice only contains about 2.2g of net carbs, as a 10 inch pizza yields 8 slices, for a total of 16 slices.

How to make low carb pizza dough
This low carb pizza dough is so easy to make. Just mix and match and you'll have homemade pizza in no time!
Mix all dry ingredients in a bowl. Add the eggs and mix with a silicone spatula. Just mix as best you can.
Add boiling water in 3 portions and stir with a spatula. As soon as it becomes too difficult to mix, start kneading with your hands until you form a large ball.
The low carb dough is ready to form a pizza dough. Follow the instructions below to make thin or thick pizza dough.
How to make crispy low carb pizza dough
You have the option of making a crispy, low-carb pizza crust or a thick chewy dough.
For a thin and crispy crust, roll out the low-carb dough to about 5mm thick. Try to make a circle as best you can, but you probably won't succeed.
Form a round circle with a pizza cutter and cut off the excess dough. Since it's a waste of dough to throw away, put it back in the round dough whenever you feel some dough is missing and roll it out a little more so the dough comes back together.
How to Make a Chewy Low Carb Pizza Dough
To make a thick-crust pizza, spread the dough between two pieces of parchment paper, as you would for a thin-crust pizza.
Do your best to form a circle. Roll the edges of the dough to form a perfect pizza circle while forming a crust.
Make sure the rolled edges are perfectly glued together or they will curl when baking in the oven.
Add yeast and toppings
After rolling thin or thick gluten-free pizza dough, bake for 20 minutes.
Top with some sugar-free pizza sauce and your favorite low-carb pizza toppings and bake in the oven again for another 15-20 minutes.
Frequently asked questions and answers
Can You Freeze Keto Pizza Dough?
If you can! Just freeze after everything is roasted. When ready to serve, heat and toast for a few minutes before serving.
Can I make this pizza dough in advance?
If you can! Just bake the crust before freezing. Wrap in a Ziploc bag and freeze for up to 2 months.
When you are ready to eat this keto pizza dough, remove it from the oven, let it defrost for an hour, add the toppings and bake for another 15-20 minutes.
Help! My pizza dough turned purple or gray.
This is perfectly normal and right. Some brands of psyllium husk tend to turn purple or gray when roasted. The dough is still perfectly edible and tastes the same, only the color will be affected.
I always recommend using NOW Psyllium Husk Powder as I personally have never had any issues with it.
Help! There are small yellow pieces in my pizza dough.
absolutely normal. The little yellow bits are just the yolk. They disappear as soon as you bake the pizza dough in the oven.
Can I use whole psyllium husks?
They don't work the same as the powdered version, so I suggest grinding them in a blender first.

(Video) What I Eat In A Day On Ketogenic Diet With BLT Pizza RecipeIn a large bowl add all the dry ingredients and mix well.
Add the 3 eggs and mix with a rubber spatula. The dough doesn't stick well here and there are a lot of yellow stains from the eggs.
Pour boiling water into the batter, ¼ cup at a time, while mixing as well as possible with a rubber spatula.
When you can no longer mix with the spatula, start kneading with your hands until the dough forms a large ball.
Now you can make 2 small pizzas (about 25 cm in diameter) or 1 large one. My oven is too small to make a big one, so I made two pizzas.
For a thin crust pizza
Divide the dough in half. Form a ball with your hands and place the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
Cover with a second piece of parchment paper and open with a rolling pin until you get a pizza of about 25 cm. You probably won't be able to make a perfect circle, so use a pizza cutter and make a circle around the pizza, take the pieces of dough you just cut and put them back in the pizza dough so you don't waste dough. .
Cover again with the parchment paper and open the circle a little more so that the excess dough sticks to the bottom layer of dough.
Repeat with the second half of the dough.
For a thick crust pizza
Divide the dough in half. Form a ball with your hands and place the dough on a piece of parchment paper.
Cover with a second piece of parchment paper and open with a rolling pin until you have a pizza measuring about 25cm/10 inches. You probably won't be able to make a perfect circle, but that's okay. Take the edges of the pizza and roll them up to form a crust. Make sure the crust is tightly rolled and stays in place as it can curl as it cooks in the oven.
Continue rolling the edges of the pizza until a thick crust forms around the pizza circle.
We put the parchment paper with the glued dough on a baking sheet and bake for 25 minutes.
Remove from the oven, top with your favorite toppings and bake in the oven for an additional 15-20 minutes (until the pizza toppings are cooked through).
